- Why do we keep the Feast of Pentecost?
- (Leviticus 23:1-44) The Feast of Pentecost is a commanded assembly of God.
We, as Christians, keep the Feast of Pentecost because God commands it of us and we obey him.
- (Deuteronomy 10:12-22) We, as Christians, keep the Feast of Pentecost because we Fear God AND we Love God.
Scripture cleary shows Fearing and Loving God go hand in hand, they are not opposites.
Few people realize that when the New Testament writers wrote about circumcising the foreskin of our
hearts, that they were quoting from the Law or the Torah.
- Are New Testament Christians supposed to Fear God?
- (2 Timothy 1:6-7) Some false ministers will quote this and say that God no longer
expects us to fear him. They don't know the scriptures and are taking this one out of context.
- (2 Timothy 1:8-14) The apostle Paul is not talking about the fear of God,
but the fear of the world and the persecution it may bring upon on us.
- (2 Corinthians 7:1) As the Messiah would say, It is also written.
Why do ministers quote one writing of Paul and yet ignore another?
- (1 Peter 2:13-17) The apostle Peter also makes it very clear that we as Christians
are still supposed to fear God.
- (Revelation 14:6-7) Isn't Revelation the last book in the New Testament?
Wasn't it given to the Apostle John by the Messiah himself in visions?
How can anyone claim a New Testament Christian is not supposed to fear god?
When you read all the scriptures on the subject it is very clear that we are to Fear God
and eventually the whole world will come to Fear God and keep his Holy Days.
- Aren't the Holy Days just for the Old Testament, that have no relevence for the Church today?
- (Acts 2:1-47) Could any Holy Day be more relevant to Christians today than the birth of the Church of God?
The Holy Spirit given to the 120 followers of the Messiah and then 3,000 people baptized and given the Holy Spirit
in one day is something to celebrate brethren. We should not be like the world that pretty much ignores this
wonderful Holy Day given by God to his people for his people.
- What are we supposed to be learning from the Feast of Pentecost?
