  10. No where in the Old Testament is the Passover ever referred to any other day other than the 14th day of the first month. Let's review the scriptures to be sure that statement is true.
    1. Exodus 12:1-11
    2. Exodus 12:18-22
    3. Numbers 33:1-4
    4. Leviticus 23:4-6

  11. But for the sake of argument, let's suppose the Jews are correct and the Passover lamb is killed on the 14th and then eaten on the 15th. Even with what the Jews teach today, the Passover lamb is killed on the 14th and the Messiah gave the Christian symbols for Passover on the evening of the 14th. So even if the Jews are correct in when the Passover was eaten, why would you keep the Christian Passover on any other day than the 14th in the evening when the Messiah gave us the symbols? To be quite frank brethren, this division in the Churches of God over this controversy over a 14th and 15th Passover baffles me. For a Christian the argument is really irrelevent about when the Jews eat the Passover. A Christian should be concerned with when did the Messiah give the Christian Passover symbols and that is when and what we should follow. The Messiah taught, this do in remembrance of me and that is what I try to do.
  12. And then there are Traditional Christians who try to tell us that Passover is not important and without meaning for a Christian today. They claim there is no need to do a foot washing, eat unleavened bread, drink from the fruit of the vine and sing a hymn on the 14th day of the first month. They have better traditions than what Christ gave us. They call it Easter and try to convince us it replaces Passover. Let's see, how would our Messiah phrase it? Vain traditions of men, replacing the commandments of God.

Next time we begin to look at the Passover in the New Testament.
